Lay for the Day 23rd
March
A poem from the book of Praises for World Meteorological Day.
52.
Of Cumulus
What baroque
or rococo,
stasis-resisting, coiling,
proliferous building (light
and shade broken a hundred
and one ways across it and
mixed in as many degrees)
aspired to once, you also
in restless, appearing-so-
effortless grace, example:
the expression, imbalanced
and grand as all creation,
of the thoughts that, heavy with
purity, ceaselessly fill
the unmoved mind of heaven.
